Cyware Situational Awareness Platform

Release Notes 3.7.7

November 1, 2023

We are excited to introduce you to the latest version of Collaborate (CSAP) v3.7.7. This release includes new features and enhancements.

Analyst Portal
Just-in-Time Provisioning and SAML Role Authorization New

The SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) feature in Collaborate now offers a more streamlined authorization process by leveraging identity provider (IdP) applications such as Okta. Analysts can now configure the SAML authentication method to provide new and existing analysts with appropriate role permissions while signing in to Collaborate's Analyst Portal.

Analysts can map the SAML group names to Collaborate's user roles. The Collaborate user role must match the IdP's group name to grant users the appropriate access.

Upgrade Note: If you are currently using SAML for authentication and wish to set up role-based authorization, after upgrade you must first map the SAML group names with the corresponding user roles in Collaborate. Collaborate is set to use a default group attribute value, which is memberOf, and expects the SAML assertion response to contain the value of memberOf for the group attribute. If you are using a different group attribute value, you can change it in the SAML configuration.

For more information, see Configure SAML 2.0 as the Authentication Method, and Add Privileged Users.

SCIM New

Collaborate now supports SCIM (System for Cross-Domain Identity Management), a standardized protocol for automated user provisioning for managing users in the Member Portal. With SCIM, you can effortlessly synchronize member user data between your identity provider (such as Okta) and Collaborate, ensuring that user information is always up-to-date and consistent.
