Release Notes 3.7.3

We are excited to introduce you to the latest version of CSAP v3.7.3. This release includes new features, enhancements, and minor bug fixes.

Analyst Portal
Alert Lock Time Limit New

With this feature, you can now edit alerts only for a specified time period, preventing the alert from being permanently locked for other analysts and enabling collaborative edits. For more information, see Edit Alerts.

Bulk Delete Doc Library Content New

You can now bulk delete content (files and folders) uploaded by analysts and members in the Doc Library. You can simultaneously delete up to 10 files or folders. When you delete content uploaded by members, they receive an email notification for the same.

Dashboard Widgets Enhanced

You can now visualize and monitor alert data in the Analyst Portal using the following new system widgets:

  • Alert vs Cyber Threat Type: Displays the number of alerts that are associated with different cyber threat types.

  • Alert vs Threat Actor: Displays the number of alerts with associated threat actor information.

Reports Enhanced

The following new reports are available in the Analyst Portal:

  • Most Common Tags - Member Channels: View the most popular tags used in member channels. Generate a report to view the top 50 common tags and the total number of channels that they are used in. You can download the report for your reference.

  • Most Common Tags - Published Alerts: Gain insights into the most frequently used tags in published alerts for a specified date range. Create and download custom reports to view the top 50 tags and their usage frequency in published alerts. You can download the report for your reference.

  • Active Members Report: View the statistics of active and inactive members during a specified date interval. Members who have logged into CSAP through web or mobile applications during the specified period are considered active. You can either create a report for all users or filter members by their recipient groups (groupset, TLP, or group type).

Alert Creation Form Enhanced

For enhanced user experience, the Finish section of the alert creation form is now reorganized, prioritizing tags and tag groups, which are displayed first.

Other Enhancements
  • While adding comments to an RFI, you can now attachments as well as fang and defang IOCs in the comments. 

  • CSAP now supports application/octet-stream media (MIME) type for MP4 files.

  • You can now edit custom RSS feed sources that you have added to the Analyst Portal. You can edit all the details of the RSS source except the feed URL.

  • After generating API credentials for members in Integrations > Open API Credentials, the credentials are now directly sent to the member's email address.

  • You can now easily locate files and folders in the Doc Library using the newly introduced Location column.

  • While exporting survey responses, you now have the option to export the response with the respondents' details. You can enable this option in Administration > Configuration.

  • The format of the fields in exported XML alerts is now modified. Field names of xml, number, and special characters fields, along with lists are displayed differently. For more information, see Print and Export Alerts.

  • While creating alerts with the Partner Advisory category, the Info Source(s) field is now mandatory. However, you have the flexibility to make it optional in Administration > Settings.

  • For all CSAP-related emails, you can now use the Mobile App CTA placeholder to include a description and call to action (CTA) to download the Cyware Enterprise mobile app.

Member Portal
Generate Open API Credentials New

As a member, you can now generate open API credentials for various actions such as viewing the list of alerts, getting details of each alert, sharing threat intel, and other actions. Additionally, you can also generate open API credentials for the Intel Library which helps you access data directly from CTIX. For more information, see Generate Open API Credentials.

Alerts View Enhanced

For enhanced user experience, the alerts view in the Member Portal is now divided into Alerts and Partner Advisory tabs. Additionally, the Mailbox layout has the following updates:

  • You can now expand and collapse the left section which consists of the list of alerts.

  • While viewing an alert, you can now access all discussions associated with the alert in Messenger, using the View Discussions option.

  • The right tab now consists of actions, and additional information such as attachments, categories, references, and more, in a card format. You can expand and collapse the right section as well.

Intel Library Enhanced

The Intel Library now has the following enhancements:

  • You can now schedule email reports for saved searches in the Intel Library. This helps you stay notified if new entries are added to your saved search over a period of time.

  • Along with the basic search, you can now use the Cyware Query Language (CQL) search for complex queries in the Intel Library.

  • In the threat object visualizer, you can now hover or click the related threat intel object to view more details. This enables you to view all details of the object in a new tab.

Other Enhancements
  • You can now easily locate files and folders in the Doc Library using the newly introduced Location column.

  • While adding comments and responses to an RFI, you can now add attachments to them.

Open API Enhancements

New API Endpoint: Upload File

Analysts can use this open API to upload a file to the Doc Library.

New API Endpoint: Get Document Details

Analysts and members can use this open API to get details of uploaded content in the Doc Library.

Bug Fixes
  • Issues with exported alert XML files are now fixed.

  • In the Doc Library, the issue with replacing files while changing the file name in the Analyst Portal is now fixed.

Deprecated Features

The following features are no longer supported for non-Cyware cloud-based deployments:

  • Messenger

  • Collaborative Notes

  • Google reCAPTCHA

  • Browser Extension
