Cyware Situational Awareness Platform

Channels and Tags

Channels are classified into three different types, based on their usage:

  • My Channels: My Channels are custom channels created and used by embers to group alerts, based on tags. If a published alert contains a tag which you have specified, then you can group them into an appropriate channel. Alerts from these channels can be accessed from the landing screen.

  • Default Channels: Default Channels are created by admins in CSAP Analyst portal and are available for use by members of an organization. Members can enable email and mobile notifications for these existing channels.

  • Shared Channels: Members can view and add channels shared by other members. Here members can edit the channels without altering the original channel shared with them.

No. Members cannot create a Default Channel, you can only view it.

You can deactivate a particular My Channel by performing the following steps:

  1. In the Settings module, click Channels. The My Channels tab displays, by default.

  2. Click and open the Channel you want to deactivate.

  3. To deactivate the Channel, toggle the Status switch to Inactive.

  4. When you are finished, click Save.

To add tags from an alert to My Channel, perform the following steps:

  1. In an alert, in the right-hand section, click Add to Channels.

  2. Select the channels to which you want to include tags and then click Apply.

You can set a default landing channel for viewing alert feeds from a particular channel. To change the default landing channel in the Alerts module, perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the User Profile icon and select Profile Settings.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. From the Preferences section, select the required Channel from the Default Channel upon login drop-down list.

  4. Click Save.

Now, alerts from the selected channel will be displayed on the landing page when you log in to the CSAP Member portal.

Note

This feature will not be available if your CSAP Analyst portal administrator has disabled it.

Analysts can also publish alerts to members with the help of shared channels. Shared channels allows analysts to group a collection of alerts that are automatically based on Information sources and tags. Analysts can use tags in shared channels while creating them from the CSAP Dashboard.
