Release Notes 3.7.2
June 8, 2023
We are excited to introduce you to the latest version of CSAP v3.7.2. This release includes new features and enhancements.
Analyst Portal
Add Custom RSS Advisory Sources New
Now, add RSS advisory sources of your choice, which helps you customize RSS feeds in CSAP. This helps you choose the kind of information you want to receive in the form of feeds. Additionally, you can add custom advisory categories to these RSS advisory sources to classify them based on your preference.
For more information, see Add Custom RSS Advisory Sources.
Add Multiple New Tags New
You can now add multiple new tags simultaneously separated by a comma or semicolon. These tags are added as individual new tags and you can find them in the Tag Library.
RFI Enhanced
The Request for Information (RFI) feature has the following enhancements:
An RFI created by a member can now directly be shared as an alert without analyst review. You can enable this configuration in the Analyst Portal.
As an analyst, you can now delete member responses to an RFI.
Other Enhancements
While exporting the list of alerts in the CSV format, the alert IDs in the exported sheet are now in the format A-alert ID. For example, if the alert ID is 570e638b in CSAP, the alert ID in the exported CSV sheet is A-570e638b. This prevents the alert IDs from being converted to scientific notations after export.
The phone number field now supports periods, hyphens, and parentheses to separate the numbers. This change is applicable to phone number fields in both the Analyst and Member Portal. For example, 612-555-0175, (612)-555-0175, and 612.555.0175.
For better cognition, CSAP now supports fang and defang options as buttons instead of a toggle. You can fang or defang IOCs in the alert creation form by clicking the Fang or Defang button.
Apart from sharing Doc Library folders with recipient groups in the Analyst Portal, you can now share them with individual recipients of your choice.
Now, send email alerts with recipients marked in bcc.
Member Portal
Create Tag Groups New
You can now create tag groups in Tag Library > Tag Groups of the Member Portal. Add a name, description, and up to 15 tags while creating tag groups. These tag groups are used while creating or editing an alert channel. For more information, see Tag Library.
RFI Published as Alerts New
As a member, you can now create RFIs which are directly published as alerts without analyst review. Add recipient groups to the RFI to specify the intended recipients of the RFI alert. For more information, see Submit RFI.
Add Multiple New Tags New
You can now add multiple new tags simultaneously separated by a comma or semicolon. These tags are added as individual new tags. In the Member Portal, you can create multiple tags in this way while adding alert channels, creating Doc Library folders and creating tag groups.
Delete RFI Responses Enhanced
As a member, you can now delete your responses to an RFI alert. For more information, see Add RFI Comments and Responses in the Member Portal.
Alert Channels Enhanced
Alert channels in the Member Portal have the following enhancements:
You can now copy links for channels in Shared Channel, and share these links with other members. When members click the shared link, it opens the CSAP Member Portal and displays details of the shared channel and members can choose to subscribe to that channel.
You can now filter channels in the My Channel and Subscribed Channel by their status (active or inactive).
Intel Library Enhanced
The Intel Library has the following enhancements:
You can now save searches in the Intel Library. This helps you collate frequently searched threat intel and save time.
Dashboards shared from CTIX are now available in Dashboards in the Member Portal. These dashboards are a visual representation of threat intel data in the form of widgets and cards.
Dashboard Walkthrough Enhanced
Get a visual product walkthrough for the dashboards feature in the Member Portal. You can restart the walkthrough when required by clicking the Restart Walkthrough button.
