Assign Permissions for Doc Library Folders

The CSAP Doc Library is a secure place to store text, image, and video files that you can access and download easily from the web portal or mobile app. In CSAP Analyst Portal, an admin can permit a set of users or user groups to update or only view the folders.

While creating or updating the folder in Doc Library, the admin can assign the permissions by selecting an existing recipient group.

Before you Start
  • Make sure you have access to the Doc Library.

  • Make sure the recipient groups are created. See Recipient Groups.

Assign Permission to Recipient Groups for New Folder

You can assign permissions to a recipient group while creating a folder by selecting the recipient groups. To assign permissions to the recipient groups to a new folder, follow the below steps:

  1. Sign in to CSAP as an admin.

  2. Navigate to Main Menu and select Doc Library.

  3. To create a new folder, click Create Folder.

    1. In the User Recipient Group(s), select the recipient groups to add to the folder by entering the name of the recipient groups or by selecting existing recipient groups. The added recipient group displays in the Recipient Group(s).

    2. For the Recipient Group(s), select or clear the Update permission as required. The selected permission applies to all the members of the selected recipient group.

      Note

      By default, View and Update check boxes are selected. To restrict users from updating the folder, clear the Update check box.

  4. Click Create to assign the permissions.

Assign Permissions to Recipient Groups for Existing Folder

You can assign permissions to a recipient group while updating a folder by selecting the recipient groups. To assign the recipient groups to an existing folder, follow the below steps:

  1. In Doc Library, choose the folder and click Edit.

    1. In the User Recipient Group(s), select the recipient groups to add to the folder by entering the name of the recipient groups or by selecting existing recipient groups. The added recipient group displays in the Recipient Group(s).

    2. In the Update Folder dialog box, navigate to the Recipient Group(s), select or clear the Update permission as required. The selected permission applies to all the members of the selected recipient group.

  2. Click Update to assign the permissions.
