Setup LDAP authentication for CSAP Analyst portal
In CSAP Analyst portal, you can enable the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication method, which is used as an authentication protocol for directory services. Admin can configure the authentication method to allow analysts to login to CSAP using the LDAP credentials. The LDAP server authenticates the credentials submitted by the user against their core user identity, which is stored in the LDAP database.
Before you start
Make sure you have the admin role assigned.
Steps
To access the CSAP application using LDAP, you have to
Create an LDAP user.
Activate LDAP authentication in CSAP.
Share the LDAP credentials with the respective user.
Create a LDAP user
To create a LDAP user follow below steps.
In Apache Directory Studio, select the Domain Controller.
Right-click on the Domain Controller and select New and select User.
Enter First Name, Last Name and User logon name and click Next.
Create the password by entering the Password and confirm it by re-entering the same in Confirm password.
Clear user must change password at next logon and select User cannot change password and Password never expires.
Click Next and click Finish.
Activate LDAP authentication for the user in CSAP
To activate the LDAP authentication follow the below steps.
Login to the CSAP application.
In the Integration module, select Authentication Methods. Under Authentication Methods section select Analyst Dashboard.
Select LDAP and click Edit.
Enter the Domain Name, Server IP, Port, and Domain Controller and click Save.
Toggle on Activate Authentication.
In the Activate LDAP dialog box, enter the Username and Password of the LDAP user you have created and click Activate.
To check the authentication, click Test Connectivity.
Enter the Username and Password of the LDAP user you have created and click Test.
