Alert Categories in the CSAP Member portal are separate classifications of cyber and non-cyber alerts published from the CSAP Dashboard. Generally, a CSAP Alert Publisher publishes Alerts to CSAP Member portal users using these Categories which in turn are used to identify the type of information shared. Members who have selected particular categories in the Settings section will receive Alerts from those specific categories.

Types of Alert Categories

System categories are predefined in the CSAP Dashboard and work based on the features and functional requirements of your organization. For example, the Category with the “Executive Protection Alert” feature enabled can be used to send Alerts to higher-level executives in the organization.

Note

System Categories cannot be disabled in the CSAP Member portal as they are controlled directly by the CSAP Analyst Portal Admin.

Custom categories can be created by the CSAP Dashboard Administrator. Hence, Custom Categories can be chosen by CSAP Member portal users based on the Alert relevancy and requirement.

  • Navigate to the My Categories screen via the left menu of the Settings module.

Procedure
  1. This list displays both System and Custom Alert Categories. However, System Alert Categories cannot be accessed or modified by CSAP Member portal users as they are controlled by the CSAP Dashboard Administrator.

  2. Enable or Disable the Toggles of each category as per your requirements.

Note

You can use the Enable/Disable All option if needed.

Members can configure to receive email or push notifications for alerts received from certain alert categories.
