Cyware Fusion and Threat Response

Create Custom Module

CFTR provides you the flexibility to create your own customized modules to meet your workflow and fusion center requirements. For example, for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices in your organization, you can create a module named IoT and keep a track of the security-related data of all your IoT devices in CFTR.

Note

You can create up to three custom modules.

To create a custom module, do the following:

  1. Go to Admin Panel > Form Management.

  2. On the top-right corner, click +New Module.

  3. Enter the following module details:

    • Module Name: Enter a unique module name in its singular forms, such as Event, IoT, or Task.

    • Icon: For easy identification of the module, select an icon from the available list of icons.

    • Module Identifier: Enter a unique three-letter identifier in capital letters. The module identifier is used as the prefix in module IDs.

  4. Click Save.

After successfully creating a module, you can perform the following activities:

  • Add fields and tabs to configure the module creation form in Form Management.

  • Create entries for the module under +New in the top app bar.

  • Configure role-based access control for the module in User Group Management.

  • Access the module listing page under Menu > Custom > Module Name.

  • Use connect the dots in custom modules to gain contextual information about the threat data of the modules. You can also connect the custom modules to other modules for improved contextual information. For example, users can connect the IoT custom modules with incidents and actions.

    Note

The Cyware machine learning suggestions in connect the dots are not available for custom modules.

Configure Custom Module Status

By default, every custom module is configured with Open and Closed status. You can update the status name or add a new status. To configure the status options of the custom module, do the following:

  3. Enter the status names and pick the color code for the statuses.

  4. (Optional) To add a new status, click +Add Status.

  5. Click Save.

At least two status must be configured for a module. If more than two status are configured, then you can delete a status.
