Software

The Software module helps you manage your organization’s software assets. You can evaluate, track, and manage software licenses, compliance, and optimization by assigning owners individually to all software that is deployed and utilized in your organization’s environment. This ensures that the software asset is secure, properly configured, and equipped with the necessary response actions to swiftly quarantine threats.

To view the list of software, go to Menu > Software. On the software listing page, to manage the software, you can perform the following activities:

  • View the software summary. To view the summary, click Show Summary on the right. You can view the total number of software available and process details of the software.

  • Search and filter the list of software.

  • Reorder the list of software based on the ascending or descending order of the software titles.

  • Sort software based on the following criteria:

    • Relevance

    • Last Updated

    • Date Added

  • Customize the columns displayed on the Software listing page by selecting from default and custom fields. Click Customize Table, and then select fields from Default Fields or Custom Fields. You can add up to 15 custom fields to the table. For more information on how to create custom fields, see Manage Field Library.

    Note

    The feature to add custom fields to the listing page is available in Respond v3.4.4 onwards.

  • View activity logs of software.

  • Import software into Respond in XLSX format. To preview and download the template to import the list of software, click Import > Preview Template

  • Export the list of software in XLS, XLSX, HTML, and JSON formats.

  • Refresh the software list to view the latest data. To refresh the software list, click More > Refresh.

  • View the software list in full-screen mode. To view the software list in full-screen mode, click More > Full Screen.

  • View details of software retrieved from Intel Exchange. To view details, hover over the software name and click View Details. For more information, see Connect the Dots.
