Pause Incident

During the incident response, you can pause an incident to pause the time tracking and cost tracking. Time tracking and cost tracking resume after the incident is resumed.

Note

Only the assigned user with Pause Incident permission can pause or resume an incident.

To pause an incident, do the following:

  1. Go to Menu > Incidents.

  2. Open an incident.

  3. Click More and select Pause.

  4. On the confirmation message, click Yes, Proceed.

You cannot perform the following activities on a paused incident:

  • Update the assigned user and assigned user group

  • Mark the incident as protected

  • Change the incident phase

  • Update the incident status

Note

Paused incidents resume automatically after you update the field details of a phase in the incident.
