Configure Business Unit Settings

The Business Unit field is used to define the impacted business units due to an incident and to control user access to incidents. You can configure the field type of the Business Unit field as single or multi-select and rename the field.

Configure Business Unit Field Type

This feature is available for CFTR Enterprise licenses only. The default field type for CFTR MSSP licenses is single-select and cannot be modified.

You can configure the Business Unit field in incidents as one of the following field types:

  • Single Select: Users can select only one impacted business unit per incident.

  • Multi Select: Users can select multiple impacted business units per incident.

Note

Updating the field type of Business Unit is a one-time configuration and cannot be modified later.

To update the field type of the Business Unit field, do the following:

  1. Go to Admin Panel >  Configurations > Other Settings.

  2. Click Field Type.

  3. Select the field type as single or multi-select and click Save.

  4. On the confirmation message, click Proceed.

The field type of the Business Unit field for incidents is updated.

Update Business Unit Field Name

To update the name of the Business Unit field, do the following:

  1. Go to Admin Panel >  Configurations > Other Settings.

  2. Click Name Change and enter a new name in the singular form. For example, Group, Client.

  3. Click Save.

  4. On the confirmation message, click Proceed.

The field name is updated wherever the Business Unit field is available in the CFTR application, such as Form Management, User Management, Settings, Dashboards, and more.
