Create a CFTR Instance in Orchestrate

In the Orchestrate application, to create playbooks for the CFTR app, you must create an instance in the CFTR app.

Before you Start

  • Before you can create a CFTR instance in Orchestrate, you must generate authorization credentials for accessing the features of CFTR using APIs. For more information, Generate CFTR Authorization Credentials

  • To generate the authorization credentials, ensure that you have the Admin level access in the CFTR application.

Generate CFTR Authorization Credentials

Perform the following steps to generate the authorization credentials in CFTR:

  1. Sign in to your CFTR application.

  2. Go to Admin Panel > Open APIs.

  3. On the top-right corner, click the Add New API button.

  4. On the Create API page, enter the API details:

    • API Title: Enter a title for the API configuration. For example, Orchestrate Integration.

    • API Description: Enter a description for the API.

    • API Expiration Date: Enter an expiration date for the API configuration.

    • Associated User: Select a user from the drop-down list to assign the API credentials.

    • Status: Select the status of the API configuration as Active.

  5. Click Save.

After the API configuration is created successfully, the authorization credentials appear. Click the Download as CSV button to download the credentials in .csv format.

Note

Cyware recommends you to download the credentials as the Secret Key and Access ID values cannot be viewed or downloaded later.

Create CFTR Instance

Perform the following steps to create an instance for your CFTR app in the Orchestrate application.

  1. Sign in to your Orchestrate application.

  2. Go to Menu > Apps.

  3. Search for the CFTR application and select Cyware Fusion and Threat Response (CFTR) app.

  4. On the top-left corner, click the Instances tab.

  5. Click New Instance.

  6. Enter the instance details:

    • Instance Name: Enter a name for the instance.

    • Instance Description: Describe the key details of the instance.

    • Instance Expiration: Enter an expiration date for the instance.

  7. In the Configuration section, use the CFTR API configuration credentials and enter the authorization credentials..

  8. Click Create.

To test the connectivity of the CFTR instance, on the instance tile, click Test Connectivity.
