Manage Business Units
An organization can include several segments for business to meet internal operational requirements. These segments can be defined as Business Units (BU). Business Unit is a mandatory field to add users and create incidents. Manage the business units of your organization to:
Specify the location of a user.
Define the access levels of a user. For more information, see Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in CFTR.
Indicate the impacted business unit of your organization due to an incident.
To view and manage the locations added in the CFTR application, go to Menu > Admin Panel > Settings > Business Unit. You can view the following details of a business unit:
ID: Unique ID assigned by CFTR to a business unit.
UUID: Global unique ID assigned by CFTR to an object.
Title: Name of the business unit.
Created: Created date and time of the business unit.
Last Updated: Last modified date and time of the business unit.
You can search and modify a location and view the activity logs to track the updates of the business units.
Note
The ID and UUID of a business unit are assigned by CFTR and cannot be modified. The business unit ID is used by CFTR to assign business units to users and incidents. Modifying the business unit title does not affect the business unit assignment in users and incidents.
Add Business Unit
You must have Create/Update permission for Business Units to add a business unit.
