Add Software

You can use the bulk import option to import multiple software. For more information on how to bulk import, see Common Operations under the Quick References section. This section describes the procedure to add a new software. To add a new software:

  1. On the top banner area of the CFTR UI, click the New button and select Software. New Software tab appears.

  2. In the Software Name field, enter the name of the software.

  3. On the Summary tab, update the fields:

    Field Name

    Description

    Software Type*

    Select one of the following software types:

    • System Management Software

    • Development Software

    • Web Application Software

    • System Utility

    • Security Software

    • Financial Software

    • Inhouse Software

    • General Purpose Software

    Operating System Supported

    Select one of the following software types:

    • Windows Server 2k8

    • Windows Server 2k12

    • Windows 7

    • Windows xp

    • Windows 10

    • Linux

    • Mac

    • AIX

    • RHEL 8

    Software Publisher*

    Select the Software Publisher.

    Software ID*

    Enter the Software ID.

    Purchase Date

    Enter the Purchase date of the software.

    Expiry Date

    Enter the Expiry date of the software.

    Purpose

    Enter the purpose of the software purchase.

    Number of Assets installed with Software

    Enter the number of assets installed with software.

    Software Version

    Enter the software version.

    Approved Software

    Select Yes or No to indicate if the software is approved or not.

  4. On the right pane, from the Labels drop-down list, select the labels.

  5. Click Submit.
