Cyware Fusion and Threat Response

Integrate Google Maps

Integrate Google Maps to render the world map in the application. This provides a geographical context to incidents and the impacted locations. This integration enables security analysts with the following capabilities:

  • Link incidents with geographic locations

  • Monitor all incidents in a specific location and prioritize incident response

  • Identify the patterns and geographical origins of incidents

Before you Start

Ensure that you have:

  • Create/Update permissions for Configurations.

  • Google Maps API key with the required permissions. For more information, see Generate Google Maps API Key.

Steps

To integrate Google Maps, do the following:

  1. Go to Admin Panel > Configurations > Integrations > Maps.

  2. Enable Google Maps and enter the API key.

  3. Click Save.

CFTR sends a test request to Google Maps to verify the validity of the API key. You can test the connectivity between CFTR and Google Maps by clicking Test Connectivity on the top right. After successful integration, you can use the following features:

  • Manage geographic locations with additional details such as location type and additional fields.

  • Link geographic locations with incidents.

  • Access the map view of incidents and locations.

  • View the Incidents by Locations widget in the dashboards.
