Enable High Availability for Cyware Agents
Orchestrate supports high availability for Cyware Agents, with the ability to perform a seamless switchover to a second agent when the primary Cyware Agent fails. This ensures uninterrupted execution of tasks performed by the Cyware Agents. For example, a Cyware Agent configured to poll once every hour disconnects with Orchestrate due to connectivity issues, you can activate a secondary agent to overtake the tasks of a primary agent.
To set up secondary agents, you must configure high availability at the time of the agent installation. For more information, see Install Cyware Agent. Administrators must manually activate the installed secondary agent from the Cyware Agent setting. In case the primary agent fails to connect with Orchestrate, the execution of agent tasks can be switched to the secondary agent.
Points to remember for configuring high-availability
A secondary agent is available for selection only if you have selected high availability during agent installation. For more information on enabling high availability during installation, see step 7 in the Install Cyware Agent procedure.
At any point in time, you can switch between secondary agents. For this, you must deactivate the enabled secondary agent and activate the required agent using the toggle button.
At a time, only one secondary agent can be enabled, and the other secondary agents will be inactive or passive.
There is no limit for adding a maximum number of secondary Cyware Agents linked to a primary Cyware Agent.

To enable high availability, follow the below steps:
Go to Admin Panel > Cyware Agent.
Select a Cyware Agent. The list of secondary agents is displayed as accordions. Click on the required agent to view the details of the agent.
