Cyware Orchestrate

Release Notes 3.4.1

May 31, 2023

We are excited to introduce you to the latest version of Orchestrate v3.4.1.

Workspaces New

Workspaces enable administrators to create separate work environments in a Orchestrate instance to manage playbooks, apps, and other resources. Administrators can define role-based access control on workspaces that adds an additional layer of security to the playbooks, apps, and other resources.

Note

This feature was a part of Orchestrate 3.4.0 limited availability release and is now generally available (GA).

Key Benefits of Workspaces

Some of the key benefits of workspaces in Orchestrate are:

  • Better organization of resources: Group playbooks, apps, and other resources based on their development status or criticality. For example, you can store the playbooks in the development phase in the Development workspace and production-ready playbooks in the Production workspace.

  • Separation of duties: Leverage the maker-checker approach where a playbook creator can initiate a request to publish playbooks and an approver can review and publish the playbook to a workspace.

  • Establish better access control: Define role-based access control on playbooks, apps, and other resources. For example, a playbook creator can build playbooks in a Development workspace, a QA can validate the functionality in the Testing workspace, and an approver can approve the publishing of the playbook to the Production workspace.

Playbook Version Control New

Orchestrate introduces version control for playbooks to help analysts track and manage changes made to playbooks. Analysts can also roll back a playbook and its sub-playbooks to a saved version. For example, if the recent changes in the current version of the playbook have caused unexpected issues or do not achieve the desired outcome, then the playbook can be reverted to a previous version.

Note

This feature was a part of Orchestrate 3.4.0 limited availability release and is now generally available.
