Work with App Instances
An instance is a static collection of actions defined in an application and is used to store different states of the application’s data. Instances are required to communicate with the app. An app can have multiple instances. Each instance is configured with separate credentials for authentication.
For example, a user can create two different instances for an app to utilize them for testing a Playbook and running a Playbook.
An app is considered as configured after an instance has been configured for an app. The fields to be configured for an instance vary depending on the application. The fields and field values help in the authentication of the application and communication with the Orchestrate platform. Every time an action from the app is added to the Playbook workflow, the default instance is automatically selected in the action.

You must have View Instance and Create/Update Instance permissions to access the Apps module and to add a new instance.
