Add Instances

If an instance does not exist for an app or if you wish to create new instances for the app, click the plus icon to create an instance for the selected version. If there are no existing instances, then the instance you create will be added as the default instance. If there are multiple instances, you can choose to mark any as the default instance.

Steps

To add a new instance to the application:

  1. Click the Main Menu icon on the left sidebar, and select Apps.

  2. Click the app card to view all the app-related details.

  3. Select the Instances tab.

  4. Click the plus icon to create a new instance of the application.

  5. Configure the following details for the instance:

    • Instance Name: Enter a unique name for this instance.

    • Instance Description: Enter a brief description for this instance.

    • Instance Expiration: Click the calendar icon and select an expiration period for the instance. After this period, the app stops working. Administrators will receive an email notification for all instances that are nearing expiry.

    • Make as default instance: Toggle on this option to make this instance your default instance. Note: On successful creation of the instance, the instance is flagged as Default Instance.

    • Agent Compatible*: This field is available only if the app is marked as Agent Compatible. If an app is configured as agent compatible, then while adding an instance for that app, you have an option to mark that instance as agent-compatible. Simply toggle the Agent Compatible option. On enabling, you can select the agents available on that server from the dropdown list.

    • App version: Select the version of the app to run this instance.

  6. Click Create.
