Update App
You can update an app from the app listing page or the app details page. If a newer version of the app is available on the Appstore, then you can view the Update button on the app listing page or the app details page. When an app receives an update, the newer versions are listed along with their respective version numbers, release dates, and corresponding release notes.
Tip
To view the list of all the apps that have the latest updates, click Filters and select Updates Available from App Updates.
Steps
To update an app, follow the below steps.
Click Main Menu, and click Apps.
Select the app that you need to update. You are navigated to the app details page.
Click Update for the app you want to update and select the version of the app, and click Update.
You will not see the update option if you already have installed the latest version of an app.
The card view of the app displays the installed version of the app on the My Apps listing page.
The card view of the app displays the latest available version of the app on the App Store listing page.
The version selection list always shows the higher versions in the hierarchy. For example, if you are currently on v2.0.0 of an app that has v1.0.0, v2.0.0, and v3.0.0 available in the Appstore, the version list will only display v3.0.0.
Latest App Version Notification
Notice
This feature is available in Orchestrate from release version v3.5.1 and later.
Orchestrate sends you web app notifications if the latest version of the app that you are using is released on the Appstore.
You will not receive notifications for newer app versions that were available on the Appstore before upgrading to Orchestrate version 3.5.1. For example, if you are currently using version 1.2 of the VirusTotal app and version 1.3 is already available on the Appstore when you upgrade to Orchestrate v3.5.1, you will only receive notifications for app updates when a newer version (version 1.4 or 2.0) is available on the Appstore.
