Clone a Read-Only Group

You can create a new read-only group by cloning the default Read-Only group provided in CTIX.

Before you Start

You must have View User Groups, Create User Groups, and Update User Groups permissions.

Steps

To clone a read-only group and create a new group, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Administration, select User Management, and select User Groups.

  2. Click the ellipsis of the default Read Only Group or any custom read-only group and select Clone. This clones the user group with the same set of assigned permissions. You can add new users to this group. Enter the following details.

    • Enter a unique group name to identify the set of users in that group. For example, Read-Only Users - Threat Data, to create a user group for analysts that only require view access to Threat Data.

    • Enter a group description to describe the key functionality of the user group.

    • Make sure the Read Only User Group toggle is active.

    • Toggle User Group Active to set the status of the group to active. You can only add users to an active user group.

    • Choose and assign the required access permissions for the user group. At least one permission must be assigned to create a new user group.

      Note

The Create and Update permissions are not available for read-only groups. However, you can assign permissions to read-only groups for creating private saved searches and creating private report schedules. To see the full list of permissions available for read-only groups, see User Groups Permission Set.

  3. Click Add User Group.
