Add a Task in Global Tasks

Intel Exchange enables you to create tasks not specific to any individual module or element in Global Tasks.

Before you Start

You must have view, create, and update task permissions to add a task.

Steps

To add a task in Global Tasks, follow these steps:

  1. From Main Menu, open Global Tasks under Actions.

  2. Click Add Task or click + under the Not Started category and enter the following details:

    • Enter a description of the task.

    • Select an assignee, assign the task to self, or leave it unassigned. If assigned, the assignee will receive an email notification with the task details.

    • Set a priority such as high, medium, or low for the task.

    • Set a due date and time for the task.

  3. Click Done.

    The task is visible in the Not Started status.

    Note

    Starting v3.6.3.3, you can create tasks without assigning them to any user. However, an unassigned task cannot be moved to the Completed state. Ensure you assign the task to a user before marking it as completed.
