Create User
You can create users as standard or read-only users and add select the user groups to assign specific permissions to access Intel Exchange features.
Just-In-Time SAML User Provisioning
You can automatically onboard users using Just-In-Time (JIT) user provisioning, without the need to manually create user accounts. With Single Sign-On (SSO) through the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), administrators can automatically create and authenticate users into CTIX. To configure SAML, see Configure SAML 2.0 as the Authentication Method.
Before you Start
Ensure that you have configured email server settings to receive emails in case a new password is generated or when the password is reset. To configure the email server, see Configure Email Server.
Steps
To create a user, follow these steps:
Go to Administration > User Management > User Listing.
Click Add User and enter the following details:
First Name: Enter the first name of the new user within 25 characters.
(Optional) Last Name: Enter the last name of the new user within 25 characters.
Email: Enter the user’s email address to send email notifications from Intel Exchange.
(Optional) User name: Enter the username of the user. If you have configured LDAP as an authentication method then you must provide the LDAP server user name here. LDAP uses a username to authenticate the user.
Read Only User: Turn on the Read Only User to set the user to list the read-only permission groups.
Permission Group(s): Select one or more user permission groups to define the user-related permissions.
Click Add User.
An invite email is sent to the new user to create an initial password. The users can follow the on-screen procedures to get started with the CTIX application.
