Read-Only User Groups
Notice
This feature is available in CTIX from the release version v3.3.4 and later.
CTIX allows you to create read-only groups for users who want to view data without making changes.
Users who belong to read-only groups are called read-only users. CTIX provides a default Read Only group with the following permissions:
View threat data and create a private saved search. Private saved search is visible only to the creator.
Create private report schedules. Private report schedule is visible only to the creator.
View all dashboards. Default dashboards such as Feeds ROI dashboard and Rules Dashboard are not available for read-only users.

Administrators can update the permissions for the default Read Only group and provide additional View permissions. The Create and Update permissions are not available for read-only groups. For more information on the full list of permissions available for read-only groups, see User Groups Permission Set.
Note
The platform has a maximum limit on the number of read-only user groups. If you have exhausted the maximum limit, contact Cyware Support to increase the limit. You can also consider disabling inactive groups to make room for new groups. For more information on the platform limits for user groups, see Data Limits.
Create Custom Read-Only Group
You can create a custom read-only group from scratch. To create a custom read-only group, do the following:
Before you Start
You must have View User Groups, Create User Groups, and Update User Groups permissions.
Steps
Navigate to Administration, select User Management, and select User Groups.
Click Add User Group, and enter the following details:
Enter a unique group name to identify the set of users in that group. For example, Read-Only Users - Threat Data, to create a user group for analysts that only require view access to Threat Data.
Enter a group description to describe the key functionality of the user group.
Toggle Read Only User Group to activate view permissions for a limited set of features in CTIX.
Toggle User Group Active to set the status of the group to active. You can only add users to an active user group.
Choose and assign the required access permissions for the user group. At least one permission must be assigned to create a new user group.
Note
The Create and Update permissions are not available for read-only groups. However, you can assign permissions to create private saved searches, create private report schedules, and view other features in CTIX. For more information on the full list of permissions available for read-only groups, see User Groups Permission Set.
Click Add User Group.
