Generate AI Summary

This feature is available in Intel Exchange v3.7.6.0 (EA) onwards.

Intel Exchange allows you to generate an AI summary for supported threat objects using Quarterback AI. You can generate AI summaries for the following objects: Indicators, Vulnerabilities, Malware, Threat Actors, Reports, and Campaigns.

The AI summary provides a consolidated overview by combining existing threat data fields with AI-inferred insights that include defensive suggestions and predictive analysis. This helps you quickly understand the context, relevance, and key highlights of the threat without manually reviewing all fields from individual sources.

Before you Start

Ensure that AI Assist is enabled by the administrator in Administration > Configuration > General Settings.

Steps

To generate an AI Summary for a threat data object, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Main Menu and select Threat Data under Collection.

  2. Select a threat data object.

  3. In the Overview tab, locate the AI Summary section and click Generate.

    A request is sent to generate the AI Summary based on the available threat data. You will receive an in-app notification once the summary is generated.

  4. Click Notifications in the top bar, and then click the notification for the AI Summary status.

    You can view the AI Summary generated by AI Assist for the threat data object.

Note

To regenerate the AI Summary, click Re-generate. This option is available only when new information is received from the source for the object. Regenerating sends a new request and updates the summary with the latest intelligence. You will receive an in-app notification once the summary is generated.
