Test Playbook Instances
After creating a playbook, it's important to test the connectivity of its instances. You can test a single instance at the node level or all instances in the playbook at once. This helps identify any configuration issues or changes before execution.
Before you Start
Ensure you have permissions to Create and Update App Instances.
Test Instance at Playbook Level
To test instances at the playbook level, follow these steps:
In the Main Menu, go to Playbooks > Manage Playbooks. Open a playbook from the listing page.
Click the ellipses icon and select Test Instances.
The instance connectivity results are displayed in All, Success, Error, or Pending categories depending on the status of instances after testing.
Test Instance at Node Level
To test the instance at the node level, follow these steps:
In the Main Menu, go to Playbooks > Manage Playbooks and open a playbook.
In the Node Details, select Apps & Actions.
In App Instances, select an instance to run the action and click the Test Instance icon.
Note
You cannot add instances that have expired. To test, update the expiration date.
In the popup, you can view the details such as Last Tested on and Tested by. Click Test to test the instance connectivity. To edit the instance details such as Instance Name, Description, and more, click Edit Instance.
If instance connectivity testing fails, update the instance details and try again. To edit the instance, hover over the instance and click the Test Instance icon. In the popup, click Edit Instance.
