Install and Configure Apps

To perform security tasks with Quarterback AI, you must install the necessary apps and configure at least one instance for each.

Before you Start 

Ensure that you have the API token to authenticate with the app.

Steps 

To install and configure an app, follow these steps:

  1. In the left pane, select Quarterback AI > Apps.

  2. Select the app and click Install.

  3. After the app installation, click Configure and enter the details such as Instance Name, Instance Description, Expiry, and more.

  4. Click Done.

You can view the configured instance in the Instances section of the app. To add another instance, click Add Instance.

Note

If a new app version is available, click Update to upgrade. Updates are automatic unless configuration changes are involved, in which case you’ll be prompted to update it manually.

Manage App Instances

To manage instances, hover over the instance and click the More icon. You can perform the following activities:

  • Edit: Edit the instance details such as Instance Name, Instance Description, Expiry, and more.

  • Set as default: Set the instance as the default instance. Quarterback AI will use this instance to perform actions from an app.

  • Test Connectivity: Check instance connectivity to ensure the instance is configured to perform an action.

  • Delete: Delete an app instance if it is no longer required.
