Cyware Situational Awareness Platform

Delegated Access to Member Portal

Delegated access lets you act on behalf of any member organization directly from the Analyst Portal. With this feature, you can log in to a Member Portal in delegation mode, configure Cyware Add-on features, and support organizations.

Note

This feature is available in Collaborate v3.8.10.0 (EA) onwards and for MSSP customers only.

Key benefits:

  • Configure and troubleshoot Add-on workflows in real time, assisting organizations.

  • Every delegation session is logged with your name, email, and reason for access, maintaining accountability.

Before you Start

  • You must be an Admin or a Root Admin.

  • Ensure that you have enabled the Allow Delegated Access to Member Portal option in Configuration. For more information, see Configure Cyware Add-ons.

  • Ensure that you have enabled delegation for the specific organization in Member Settings. You can do this only if the organization has at least one Cyware Add-on feature enabled. For more information, see Organization Details.

Start a Delegated Session

You can log in to a member organization’s Member Portal in delegation mode to configure Cyware Add-on features, troubleshoot settings, and provide support. Delegation gives you temporary access while keeping all your actions logged for transparency.

Steps

To log in to a member organization’s Member Portal in delegation mode, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Analyst Portal.

  2. Go to Administration > Settings > Member Settings > Organization.

  3. Hover over the organization where you want to log in and click Start Delegation. A dialog box opens where you can enter the reason for access and select the landing page.

  4. Click Start Session.

After you start a session, you can access the Cyware Add-on features enabled for that organization and configure them as required.

  • You cannot log in to another organization’s Member Portal while already accessing an organization’s Member Portal in delegation mode.

  • You cannot open multiple sessions of the same organization’s Member Portal in delegation mode.

  • Delegation mode is active only when you are not logged in directly to the Member Portal.

View Member Activity Logs

You can view all delegation sessions and actions performed by Analyst Portal users when they access a Member Portal in delegation mode.

Steps

To view delegation activity logs, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Administration > User Management > Member Activity Logs.

  2. Select the organization and date range from the drop-downs.

  3. You can view each log entry with the delegated user’s name and email address, along with the activity they performed, such as logging in or logging out. You can also see additional details like the IP address, reason for logging in and the date and time of the activity.

You can also perform the following actions:

  • Click Refresh to reload the logs with the latest activity.

  • Use filters to refine logs by organization or date range.

Manage Delegated User Accounts

Use the following information to manage delegated user accounts:

  • A delegated user account is automatically created when you enable delegation for an organization.

  • You cannot edit profile details of a delegated user account.

  • The delegated user account is automatically deactivated if delegation is disabled for the organization.
