Directly Share Reports

  1. Click on New Report. You will then see the RFI screen.

  2. Start filling in the fields as explained below.

Fields marked with * are mandatory.

Field name

Basic Details

Source URL*

Function

It allows members to specify the URL for the Information found on the Internet.

Activity

Enter the URL in the Source URL field and click on the "Fetch" button. This will automatically fetch the Title and Description data from the mentioned URL.

Title*

Function

It allows members to add a Title for the Report.

Activity

Enter an appropriate Title if the URL Fetch function could not fill an appropriate Title for the Report.

Description*

Function

It allows members to add a description for the Report.

Activity

Enter a text description if the URL Fetch function could not fill an appropriate description for the Report.

Recipient Group*

Function

It allows members to choose a Recipient Group for the Report. This drop-down list displays Recipient Groups that are enabled with the Direct Sharing feature. This function can be controlled by the CSAP Dashboard Admin.

Activity

Choose an appropriate Recipient Group.

Impact

CSAP Member portal users who belong to the selected Recipient Group will receive the Report as an Alert.

  • After filling the Basic details, click on the "Next" button to navigate to the Attachments section.

Additional Details

  • Click on the "Add more details" option from the bottom of the page to add additional information to the Direct Sharing Report. You can add details such as Impact and Recommendation. Additional details can help the Incident Response team to quickly investigate the threat and mitigate its causes.

  • This section is not mandatory. You can also directly proceed to preview without filling additional details.

  • The fields displayed in the Additional Details section can be controlled by the CSAP Dashboard Administrator.

Impact

Function

It allows members to specify the Impact that can occur due to the information shared in the Direct Sharing report.

Activity

Enter Impact details in the text field.

Recommendation

Function

It allows members to provide recommendations for handling the Direct Sharing report.

Activity

Enter your recommendations in this text field.

Tag (s)

Function

It allows members to create and add tags related to the Threat. Tags can be used to easily group similar information.

Activity

Enter the required text and press "Enter" to add the Tag keyword.

  • Once done, click on "Next" to navigate to the Attachments section.

It allows members to add attachments. Attachments are pieces of information that is more relevant and can highly help users.

Note: The maximum attachment size is 20MB. You can add up to five attachments.

  • Once done, click on "Next" to navigate to the Preview section.

The preview section provides an opportunity to view and check the details provided in the Direct Sharing report before submitting to your organizations' security team.

Note: The "Previous" button can be used to go back in the Incident Reporting form and make the required changes before submitting.

  • Once done, click on the "Submit" button.

Note

The submitted report can be viewed in the "Direct Sharing" section of CSAP Member portal. You will receive an acknowledgment email upon submitting the Direct Sharing report.
